vibration from engin gearbox

Hi,

Got a problem I need some help on. My 1999 C280 developed a vibration a few months ago (maybe even a year) which has become progressively worse over time. Symptons as follow:

With the gear lever in Park or Reverse, there is no or very little vibrtion. In Drive with engine running, but stationary, the whole car has a vibration. As soon as I start to take of the vibration disappears. When the car is really warmed-up after a long drive, it will still have a slight vibration when stationary and in Drive, but much less than when it was cold.

What is most likely? Gearbox mountings, engine mountings, or something else??

Possible misfire under load at idle but more likely the engine and gearbox mountings, especially the gearbox tail mounting.

It might be as simple as new plugs required if it's a misfire.

My C280 needs engine mounts and I have a vibration too. As DM says.
