video on NTG2 comand

Both my C class and GL have the same comand unit (ntg2 dvd based and both have a button marked video....any easy way to let them play video/dvd etc?? or is it a goal too far and going to require extra kit and ripping the dash to bits??

NTG2 cant play dvd discs. So you will need a multimedia interface and external dvd player like the below.

It is also possible that the W203 COMAND does not have the video circuitry in it. The ML will do.

MB started to drop the video circuitry in the COMAND on cars without TV or reversing camera (and some can't have those options from the factory such as A/B class) in around 2007 .. (and even earlier in the W211 E class)

The way to check is to look for the green COAX connector on the back of the COMAND.
