And then the appropriate model number for your car, for instance mine is a 202 so my VIN starts WDB202
 
The VIN will start with 3 letters and any of those below are valid for MB vehicles.

The "World Manufacturer Code" pull-down menu is used to select or enter the desired World Manufacturer Code or parts of it.
The World Manufacturer Code identifies the country in which the vehicle was produced.
It is a constituent part of each vehicle identification number and can be seen in the vehicle identification number affixed to the vehicle as well as on the certificate of registration and the ownership certificate.

My W203 is WDC and was made in South Africa...

I wonder if this means that all WDC cars were made in SA?
