I have had one of these for a while now, and I'm not very happy with it because half the time it fails to detect the phone. Sometimes it is fine, but on other occasions it will only detect it if I press the reset button, and today I had to go through the whole process of pairing it with the phone again.

So I am wondering what the problem is? Do I have a faulty unit? Is the Viseeo just not very good? Are all the bluetooth adaptors as unreliable as this? Is there something I can do to make the Viseeo work better?

I also use a ViseeO (MBU 1000) and have had it problem free for the last 2 years, i recently changed my normal phone (Nokia N95) to an iphone and the system works great.....buy i think the "range" of bluetooth isn't as good unless the phone sits fairly clost to the actual unit.

I used to leave my Nokias in my suit jacket and hang them up in the rear and all was well but the iphone needs to be kept close by.
What type of phone are you using? and are the switches set correctly on the VisseO for yoiur phone type?

I always stuck with Nokia's for use with the VisseeO unit but after testing a friends iphone and it worked .....i got myself one.

Hi, I have found that the initial pairing does not always happen when I get in the car. If I press the telephone button on the COMAND, it begins to initialise the phone again, and after 20 seconds or so - sorted

I have this on occasion both with an iphone cradle, and the SLR type puck, in my W209, and also using the built in bluetooth in my partners R171

(When I was using the SLR puck regularly, I used to fiddle with that, and unplug it etc - then I tried pressing the telephone button a couple of times and this seemed to solve the problem most of the time)

My phone is a nokia. Sometimes the viseeo picks it up just fine, but other times not. I have not done a firmware update. Is this included on the general instruction sheet, or is it elsewhere?

MB-2 comes with upgrade leads (only suitable for MB-2).

MBU1000 and MBU2000 need to go to someone with the appropriate leads (such as comand online) and a suitable power supply etc. Comand Online will do upgrades (for a fee) for people who didn't buy the cradle from them / out-of-warranty.

If you see my Viseeo FAQ on Mercedes Electronics upgrades, installation and retrofits it will tell you how to check the version number and the latest version for your cradle - then you can determine if it needs an update.

Quite often we find that its the phone causing the problem and a firmware update on the phone fixes things - so check for a firmware update for your phone on the manafacturer's website (Nokia - Nokia on the Web in your case)

Cheers

Richard

Ihave a sap 1 with n95, and so far it has worked v well indeed. phone connects every time without fail. phone is either in door pocket or coat on back seat.
