Vito 112cdi

I've got a 2001 51 plated Vito 112cdi which is the 122bhp version it has 173,000 on the clock and would like to know if it is safe to chip it to put out 170 bhp ? Will the turbo need upgrading ? Or will it just go bang?
Sorry if this sounds silly but I'm no mechanic lol

TBH mate that's a big power increase, would have expected you coming out with more like 150bhp but on an engine that's done 173,000 miles. I wouldn't bother personally as I think it will put too much strain on your already high mileage van.
