W639 3.0 2007. Does anyone know where the DPF differential pressure sensor is located and how easy is it to change? Got fault P2453 reoccurring.

O/s above and in front of the DPF.
On the Viano there is a belly pan to remove. If you folow the pipwork from the front and rear of the DPF these will terminate at the differential pressure sensor.
I found it easier to put the vehicle on an axle stand with the o/s front wheel then removed.

Is the DPF sensor in the same place on a 2013 Vito?

If it helps at all on my 2007 if I follow the wire from the 02 sensor from the Cat, the connector between the loom and the O2 sensor is mounted to the engine bay side of OSF pillar going up to the inner wing. The DPF differential sensor is mounted just below it. As M80 suggests, it's easy to access if you remove the belly pan and put the car on axle stands/car ramps.

Hello, Unfortunately I can't yet access the private message facility so will just ask here. I have the seat belt clasp problem and the SRS warning has come up. It is the drivers seat warning light and buzzer that no longer work. If I take hold and move the wire on the female seat belt connector the SRS light goes out and the buzzer works again. As soon as I let go the fault comes back. Could you explain how you fixed yours ?
I also need to change the DPF sensor, my Vito is under an AA warranty but the DPF is not included. The garage did me the courtesy of reading the code and telling me what was wrong but will not replace under warranty. The DPF itself is ok at 30% but the sensor is faulty. Would you know the location , it's a 2013 110 cdi.
Thank you in advance for any help. Again unfortunately am in Scotland so a bit too far to nip down.

Go under to the DPF.
Follow the 2 pressure lines off the DPF, they are bolt on metal unions that evolve to rubber hoses.
There are also temperature sensors, 1 on the DPF and 1 on the Cat, these evolve intocables that plug in down there.
Follow the rubber hoses up and that is the DP sensor.

On the 3.0 the sensor is pretty well above the DPF to Cat joint, secured to the sub frame square section, forward and o/s a little.

@mike2909 , see the thread W639 Vito SRS Light you posted in earlier, I've posted my fix in there.
Thank you found the post. The DPF sensor is now under the bonnet and easily accessible. Obviously they have had this problem frequently so have made it more accessible.
For the SRS fix , I just want to confirm. So for a quick fix if I cant find the break , under the seat leave the

Well I booked the Vito into an auto electrics specialist as after changing the DPF sensor I had the same problems.
Results, DPF overload, MAF sensor fault and still DPF pressure sensor fault.
MAF replaced . DPF pressure sensor fault was broken wiring between ECU and DPF sensor. Fault traced to the wiring loom and fixed so replacing the sensor was unnecessary .
DPF attempted both static and dynamic regeneration and failed on multiple attempts - that's their comments. Apparently the soot content is Ok but the ash content is too high.
They advise removal of the DPF and sending to a specialist cleaner , cost approx £500 . Does anyone know of any other options ? My own garage want to try a product that sprays directly into the DPF. They remove a sensor and insert the spray directly into the DPF. He has had succes with this on a Vivaro. Its MOTIP ash remover. Has anyone heard of this before?
Thanks again in advance

I know it’s a 15 min job to remove the DPF on a Vito 120 / Viano 3.0. If I was in your position I’d take the DPF to a local garage with a jet wash (or preferably a steam cleaner) and reverse wash the DPF, refit and attempt a regen.
