vito headligh anual leveling

Hi

Just got a 2006 mk2 vitp 109cdi, runs well couple of minor problems which I know how tp short.

I am looking for a eadsup on the Manual headlight leveling system. The rotaty knob does nothing to move the level of lights.

This is on both of them. So I am heading frist to check it out but is there a module in the system between the knob and headlights?

Any and all advive appreciated

Plastic gears mar have disintegrated. The adjuster may just be spinning w/o any contact.

When I first got mine, the OS headlight was out of line & would not adjust either.
When I looked into it further I discovered that it had obviously had a knock on the front that had broken the mounting lugs off the headlight unit, but not damaged it in anyway that was normally visible. So what some "enterprising" person had done was re-attach the unit with screws, a strip of meccano & some silicon mastic. This had obviously held it correctly, from a visual aspect, but prevented the alignment adjustment from working.
I purchased & fitted a replacement unit.: Job jobbed.!

Just to give an update not been into the lights etc yet (disabled) but looking a merc vito workshop manual fuse 15 in the main fuse box is for the leveling so as they dont work at all will hit the fuse first to check it out.
