Hiya guys, got a question to do with my cousins Vito, it has rust on the front archs (minor) and little bits of rust at the bottom of both side sliding doors, we have been to a few body shops in Milton Keynes for a price of a total body respray and have been quotes approx: £1200!!! (excluding roof)
Whilst at a job for a friend in Edinburgh we went to a few body shops in our spare time just outside Edinburgh and have been quoted just under £550 ( again excluding roof).
Well heres my question: Is there anyone on here that is a body sprayer who can give me a price???
Anyone know of a bodyshop that will do a full body respray in white again (excluding roof) for a decent price, travelling is not a problem as long as work is good and completed within time stated...

Any comments welcome...

I personally believe you will get what you pay for, or sometimes even less. The actual respray is the cheapest part of the work. Labour, therefore expense comes in the preparation. I much prefer to pay a little extra for a job I know will last, as opposed to a cheap flick over. Only you can decide on what you want.

It is alays a good idea to get recommendations, but the best are never cheap.

Good luck with the research, and hopefully others might add something?

Thanks John, well the situation is that we use the van for work, if it was the W211 its a diff story, but a vans a van, just need it to look presentable, these guys that have quoted at are all garages whos work we have looked over and have been happy with, just would like to find someone that is a little closer, Im not looking for it to be CHEAP, but when the respray costs 70% of what the van is worth its worrying...

:)Fully understand where your coming from,
It's just that if the preparation is poor, then the result will look satisfactory for a few months (sell it??) Then it will bite you in the wallet:)

Regards,
John
