On the news just now, the volcanic ash is now landing in Scotland !!!(Glasgow & north) Bet thats pretty acidic.

I hope that it does not start landing in London. I dont want that nasty stuff mucking up the paint on my new E350.

Good time to get that bulk order of car covers on eBay for next day delivery.

They're warning anyone with breathing problems should either wear a mask or stay indoors.

Looks like i'll be staying indoors then. :(

On a more serious note, if it lands on you car then whatever you do DON'T brush it off. It's incredibly abrasive and will dull the paint very quickly.

Use the two bucket method (search for it) after a good hosing.

I give in - what is the 2 bucket method? I have searched this forum and everybody says they use the 2 bucket method - can't find a post that says what it is! (I'm not that into washing my car!)

Cheers
Andy

Ignore the detailing freaks - stick it through the local carwash or Romanian valeting place ;)

Detailing adds zero value to any car and takes a lot of time, money and effort IMHO so --->:wallbash: if you get my drift :D

oh and lines such as :

"Here is the correct, safe and effective way to wash your Pride and Joy without causing any damage." makes me a little bit vomitus :D

..and no disrespect to the OCD detailers intended

Ever been on a Volcano moonloops. The stuff is sharp. In this instance I'd be doing what I could to get rid of that stuff - classic Mercs need to be shiny!

Sorry was I been a bit harsh (like the dust) I guess :D :thumb:

Bird crap, train brake dust, sahara sand and volcanoes - I'm surprised the detailers haven't committed suicide en-mass :D oh and sunlight, bird feathers, wind, rain, butterfly wings taking the gloss off .

OK that's it - enough now... :D just drive the bloody things and buy a mahogany table of you want something to polish :p
