When I adjust the volume on my B Class W246, it doesn't tell me what level it's at. Is this by design? Can it be enabled at all?

When you turn up the volume does it not show on the bottom of the radio screen, possibly should show the temp as well when you adjust that as well. It does this on my C class coupe, I’m assuming it might be similar on your B class. Hope I’m correct anyway. :) Cheers.

Nope it doesn't show there at all. The temperature shows up when I adjust that, as well as when I use any other heating control. The volume however does not show up anywhere.

Mine is a 2013 model with Audio 20

The Audio20 on my 2013 W204 had no volume indicator at all.

The volume could be turned up or down, but there was no visual indication of the level.

My COMAND NTG4.5 is the same as well.

In fact I never had a Merc that had a visual indicator for the volume level.

Newer models may have it, I do not know.

There is no volume level indicator on my 2015 plate W205 either.

As I understand it Mercedes mostly do not have a volume level although not all.

It’s a pretty pointless requirement really just stop when it’s too loud or turn the other way to quiten the sound.

I have yet to drive a Merc with this facility but on previous cars they all had a volume counter but it’s not something I miss.

Might be because MB don't want to offend the old farts that drive them lol. No point rubbing it in seeing 50 on the volume scale to hear the radio. I know i am going deaf, my family tell me all the time but i would rather my car did not. if too loud turn down, if you cant hear it turn up ;):)

Mine gets louder when I turn it up - I found that to be a useful indicator of volume level.

Lol fair enough. I guess it's the fact that I'm used to seeing a visual indication of the volume level. This is probably the first device I've come across that doesn't have it :|
