w 212 headlamp near side

my 2012 w 212 e350 nearside lamp failed day after mot took it back thinking garage had done something to enable it inop
found that lamp inopp new one from mb is £1995 plus vat
can any one recommend a used parts contact or a new lamp its a multifunctional ie it turns with the car
car only done 3500 miles this year

I would have the headlight issue diagnosed by a Mercedes specialist who should be able to determine whether you need a full new headlight unit or just the Ballast control module which is around £100.
Should it be the former, and nothing for sale on eBay you might try Dronsfields , a Mercedes breaker in Oldham. Be sure to have your Vin# handy as I'm assuming you have the pre facelift version.
