Anyone replaced the springs on their W108? I have a 72 280SE
(The cars a little project of mine in Zimbabwe) that's in need of a spring overhall - and the special tools required seem to be unobtainable.
Has anyone used any other special tools successfully? I've had a look at spring compressors from JTC Tools but they only seem to be applicable to the 107 116 123 124 and so on - but no 108.
Its a dangerous job without the right tools so looking for some guidance or best practices on this given the constraints of not locating the official tools.
