Hi guys,

Bit of a quandry, issue here. I have some alloy wheels I bought (Calibre Vintage) which someone showed me fitted on their 230CE. Stupidly, I then went and bought some. Now whilst the rears fit fine, the fronts do not go over the stub that protides from the front axle hub.

So I was wondering if I had the right hubs or do I need to fit a spaceer of 15-20mm to get over that issue?

Anyone else fitted the Calibre Vintage wheels?

I've attached a photo of them fitted to a 230CE (apologies for taking this off the W123 Care group on facebook, but needed a reference).

Right hubs, but the wrong wheels you could try a set of spacers to bring the wheel out just enough to clear the hub that will mean longer wheel bolts ,

I thought about this, so have bought 15mm and 20mm spacers, and we'll see if that works. Can send the wrong ones back, so that's all good. I thought the hubs looked good from all of the images I researched, just wanted to make it crystal from here.

Thanks OP.

It seems 5mm is all that is required.

Dont forget the length of the bolts holding the wheels may be to short now . It is important to get rthe wheel bolts right,, too long they will enter the brake area .And if they are to short the wheel can come loose .

Ended up with 15mm spacers, with the correct bolts.

Those rims are not to my taste, however your 123 is a classy looking motor. Very nice 👌

I do understand and I must admit, I struggled for a long time before doing it, and I know it's not going to be to everyone's taste, but the little boy inside me loves them.
It's your car. You like them, that's all that matters. 👍
Love the pillar-less styling of the 123 coupe.

I shan't say what I think of the wheels.

All the best.
