Hi all,
Head Gasket failure has claimed my E280, but my loss may be your gain.
I'm going to have it scrapped, unless anyone wants the whole thing(?).
Any of the non-rolling parts are available, but you'll have to be quick as it's on a public road and I won't leave it there for very long.
The spec:
Electric driver and passenger seats.
4 electric windows.
electric sunroof
electric heated mirrors (both) (corroded black painted surrounds)
cruise control
aftermarket rear parking sensors
unused first aid kit
original factory fire extinguisher that clips to the front of the driver's seat base.
mushroom leather interior (no rips, but not at all bad).
Headlight Wash-wipe though the nearside one doesn't work correctly.
...and the piece-de-resistance...
Re-made injector/coilpack wiring loom, under a year old, made with motorsport spec. cables by Si-leck. I sent them my old one and they re-used a few connectors, replaced all the wire and sent it back to me. I must confess I managed to pinch one of the coil wires under the cover, but re-soldered it and used waterproof heatshrink to seal it and it works perfectly. This could get your otherwise junk-worthy loom sorted on the cheap. The ECU is fine too. Relays, etc all ok.
That's about all I can think of for now. If you need something, just let me know and I'll tell you if I have it and if it works!
The car is in Portsmouth, and for bigger bits I'd want them picking up, but may be able to ship some bits.
Let me know if you want anything and we can agree a price. I'm not greedy.
