Body kit only or the full money-no-object AMG jobby?

Sportline interior suggests the former.

Its a sportsline pack and AMG kit and wheels, not an AMG engine as the 2,962 cc would suggest. A amg engine of that period would have been a m103 bored out to 3.2 or 3.4

AMG then was a tuning company for mercedes so mercs didnt get the full treatment but what was specified by the customer. it also meant that cars didnt have to be brand new to get the treatment (very similar to other companies such as brabus). my guess is that it is 300e-24 sportline to start off with and then at some point the owner sent it to AMG for the bodykit and alloys where it was badged as AMG, either way that makes it an AMG even though it hasnt had the full treatment and also a very expensive car in its days.

Garage owner reckons it owes him £1600.00 and that the previous old boy that owned it was very keen on aerosol respraying.........pity as there are some nice "bits" to be had there
