Ive just been offered a 1988 w124 300se for £1300.
It has no mot on it and has been standing for 3 months due to the owner passing away.
According to his wife, it was used prior to this only twice a week for 20 mile round trips. It has a rusty wheel arch on the o/s/r which will need replacing as it has gone too far for a minor repair. Everything else seemed ok, but I couldn't drive it as the battery was flat. I brought it home and put it on charge.
The car is fitted with 17" Brabus alloys that she showed me a receipt for. These cost an unbelievable £3400. I have never seen wheels like them.
Anything I should look for when I take it for a test drive in Tuesday? Can you still 'mod' these quite easily?
Or should I spend the money on my C class for further mods?
Any comments greatfully received.
Graeme.
