Hi there

i am looking for NEW sunroof seal, side cargo window seals and trims, sunroof motor and an airdryer

i know i can get these from mercedes but thought i would try and get them on here

thanks

Michael

hi michael, you will only get a new sunroof seal from mercedes but they are not expensive, what do you mean by cargo window seals and trims, i should have a sunroof motor, but what do you want an airdryer in a car for

Have you tried any aftermarket parts places yet?

I noticed Franey (Wunderpartz) had some Febi door seals for the w124 listed on ebay, so it's possible Febi also make the sunroof and window seals also. Might be worth an ask?

I've actually been meaning to do the same, but I doubt my w124 will get it's respray until late summer at the earliest.

@retrodave, the sunroof seal is £75.60 from dealers, or £68.10 with the 10% club discount. Cargo window seals are £117 each incl the same discount.

My S124 is having a re spray and i have been told That i should ensure i take care of a few other jobs at the same time inc the sunroof seal and the rear most side window seals and the metal trims that these windows have on thier edges (apparently a the metal trims could be damaged when removed and not suitable to put back on car.

As it happens i noticed some drips of water from the corner of my sunroof the other day (after several days of rain) so would have had to replace the sunroof seal regardless of re spray or not. However from what i understand i have an air dryer fittef on my car which is designed to remove condensation from windows and im not sure its working so thought id buy a new one and hope it reduces the amount of condensation.

Is your sunroof motor new?

Regrads

Mike

I wanted to stick to gen parts because i thought aftermarket parts would be Looked at badly?

I called eurocarparts and gave them the merc car part no.s they said they dont stock them and couldnt get them??? Very confused?????

I will defo look into these aftermarket parts now though!

Thanks for the heads up.

mike, the sunroof seals a meant to let water past them, if you are getting water in the car, check the metal pipes on the corners of the sunroof casstette, where they join the rubber pipe, they do go rusty and leak where it is welded to the cassette, my sunroof motor is second hand
