That's not Mushroom though I don't think....the mushroom one is essentially 'grey'.
I also see that your lower half of the car has been body-coloured. I personally think they look so much better when shiny and lacquered, but everyone that see's my car tells me to leave it as it is.
Glad you managed to find a good one Calvin - enjoy the car and be safe
Very very tidy Calvin! I also see that your lower half of the car has been body-coloured. I personally think they look so much better when shiny and lacquered, but everyone that see's my car tells me to leave it as it ise
Did the plastic panels not become body matched from 96 on, or am I thinking of the 129s? Congratulations on the purchase, Calvin. It's not the Boss's old car, is it?!!!
Just like many electric components from cars of this vintage -replacements are getting thin on the ground-and expensive should they require to be replaced/repaired. They are a multipurpose relay and have several other functions other than control the fuel pump. They are no more prone to failure than any other component just something to be aware of that's all.
ps they are sometimes referred to as MAS relays and are upwards of £300 from MB if available. They can be picked up for considerably less money second hand-----soooo----- if you do have one fitted ??? it might be an idea to keep an eye out for a cheap spare if the car is a keeper? http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/engine/119515-w124-300ce-24v-fuel-relay-problem.html
Thanks Grober, I shall have a look and keep an eye out, I did the same with my 300ce buying a complete car on advice of Rob from three pointed parts and taking out all the fuel injection wizardry
