W124 - E36 Coilovers?

Has anyone fitted BMW E36 coilovers on their W124?

Is there anything to watch out for or modification required or are they just bolt-on?

As far as I'm aware they'd need modification to fit. A more important consideration is that the strut towers were never intended to support the full weight of the car, only to locate the top of the damper strut. You're relying on there being enough strength in the chassis to accommodate this unintended loading.

And if you're lucky enough to have an E36, I'd leave it original.
