W124 estate door latch

Hi All

Need you W124 estate owners to have a look at your car and let me know what I'm missing...

The black plastic trim that surrounds the inside door handle on the rear hatch (the one you would use to exit the car if you were sitting in the rear facing fold up seats) has fallen off. I want to re attach it but can't find the right bolt to fit. I sourced something that was similar to what I thought was in there but can't get it to hold the thing in place. The receiving hole doesn't seem to be threaded and I wonder if it uses a plastic clip instead. Would be grateful if someone could see what is holding theirs on and let me know.

Plastic clip with a pip that pushes into it. It's the only one of that size on the whole of the car. I might have one in my box of trim bits

Thanks for that guys. That Russian website is excellent.

The diagram seems to show some sort of clip (143) that the plastic knob you mentioned, Nick (134) could secure into. The plot thickens. The rest of the car is working beautifully so I am reduced to trifling improvements. She is about to cross in the next few days into the exclusive 200,000 mile club. Will I get a letter from the queen?

If you have one of those thingies Nick and you are around today I could come over (on my bike as the wife has the car today). Let me know.
