W124 for £30K??

Well, they are ultra-rare and if it's in as good condition as it looks .. who knows. You see late 320 Sportline cabs for £25k.

it is rare.. no doubt about that but 30K !!

there's a lot of nice 30K cars about.

Couldn't have been much more when new.

In fact the list price of the E36 AMG cabrio was £58050 in 1995.
(standard E320 cab £50600 and SL 320 £61250)
The coupe AMG version was £51900 and saloon AMG £46750.Little discount.
My guess is the sports suspension will be too much for the cab body structure.

Funnily enough yesterday I saw a 1996 C36 AMG at auction.100k up and in
thrashed condition it made £2700,quite a drop from the new price of £42k.

Was that at BCA? A mate of mine was considering it.

Yes in Bridgewater, but I had a good look and it had had a hard life, there was also a slight tapping sound sound at idle...maybe a stuck tappet ?

DAMN £30K is a HUGE amount for a W124, even if it is near perfect!

Charles Ironside (the trader) are obviously "high" on something and live in "cuckoo" land... :D

It is an extremely nice car. I would not pay that much, but than again, there is always a market for someone, somewhere who is prepared to pay the asking price.....Probably someone with more money than common sense.

If he sells them for that price then all credit to him!

It will probably have rotted away before anyone makes an offer of £30K... :D

Has anybody seen that R107 SL that he has had for sale for what seems like years....infact it probably is years....its a white SL with the most hideous body kit fitted to it.

Although it was fairly low mileage the bodykit completly wrecked it....from memory is was about £17k

It amazes me what price he charges. but to give him credit he obviously shifts them on....apart from the hideous SL that is!:D

Yet it would cost less than a grand to bring the SL back to stock and make it easier to sell!

He could probably sell the bodykit to some fool on ebay to recover his costs.

Not Charles Ironside - actually Peter Jarvis, and he's been trying to flog it for over two years!!!

Despite the frequently expressed views on Charles Ironside's pricing, I believe he does actually sell cars ;)

Presumably he comes down on his advertised prices, but I wonder what he offers sellers - maybe £12k+ for mine???

You're right...its Peter Jarvis....I got the two confused

Who was it that was trying to sell three 36s ... coupe, cab, and saloon ... together recently? There's a thread somewhere but I couldn't find it.
