W124 front wings

Can someone please tell me whether pre-facelift W124 front wings are the same part as post-facelift?

Identical apart from they seem to resist rust better.

It's the paint process--- older cars used a solvent paint system newer ones a water based system. Steel was the same .

they are not exactly identical.

later wings have rolled arches to accomodate wider wheels/tyres.

the fitting under the cladding area is also slightly different, but does not stop them being fitted .
