bought one of these of egay UNIVERSAL REMOTE CENTRAL LOCKING UPGRADE KIT 2010 MODEL on eBay (end time 25-Dec-09 14:24:22 GMT)
anyone give me any direct instructions on fitting it, it can either use a pos triggering or neg triggering system, save me a nights mucking about with multimeter

any tips much appreciated

yeah i fitted a similar kit to mine. you need two wires coming from the pump itself under the drivers side rear seat squab.

jays link was also help to me when fitting. its 50/50 whether u get the correct green wire - i did 1st time

Do the W124 have a positive or negative triggered system?
Seen a remote system I want and it has a negative trigger for the boot release.

Hi

I started to wire up my RC central locking today and the instructions told me to cut one of the Blue wires? and in the instructions obove its states to cut a green wire.

Whats the difference in the Green & Blue in terms on what their factory function is?

w124 keyless entry system

I had a Cobra alarm/RCL fitted to my car last year. Whilst it works fine I did lose the self closing function on windows/sunroof which was abit annoying! Not sure if this could have been avoided or not?

ok, I wired up the keyless entry system and it works, The locks open and close on demand. But what also I noticed is the car will auto lock itself after 15-20 seconds of being opened via the remote, Which I find odd.

Plus I my battery seems to be losing charge Can the aftermarket keyless main unit really drain the battery that quick, Fitted it wednesday and did not drive the car after. On Saturday I went to open the car and finish the alarm install & no response so unlocked manualy with the key and noticed central locking not working and no power in the car. Volt metered the battery and volts read below 1 volt

Any comments or direction please?... as I have not even wired in the shock sensor or microwave sensor yet on the alarm system yet.
