W140

The w140 we had with LPG had the filler just tucked under the rear bumper.
Wasn't as bad as I thought it could have been.

I hate them filler caps on body panels, looks cheap and ugly yak

I guess it depends how it's done, on my G I have two, one on each side of the rear door. It doesn't look too bad. Still I suppose the aesthetic standards are lower on a truck :D

Hello Ian,

Regarding autogas again - most installers talk about the AEB King system that they install - would you recall the brand you installed . Have been recommended that the Prins system is the best but that is quite a lot more expensive. Cheers

Hello Borys,

Interesting about the filler point - would prefer if it could be squeezed under the existing petrol flap but fella said not enough space - could not be ****d do you reckon !!!

From the PH thread:

''On my last car, I had one of these sneakily hidden behind the fuel flap.

However, I have since found out these are not CoP-11 compliant (the UK LPG approval body) as you need to always use an adaptor which is frowned upon. You should also mount the filler so that it has more than a 50kg breaking strain in case you forget to detach the filler and drive off (as if!).
So I think I will just mount a conventional one to the tow bar, but set it back under the bumper''

Some people mount fillers behind the number plate which can be hinged to conceal it.
AEB make many of the components used by other KIT manufacturers such as TARTARINI
LPG Spares by Brand

Prins are Dutch

Mine is an Italian system (Pegaso Lambda). Four years ago it cost £200 (unit) + £350 (labour) vat. that was using the existing tanks and piping. It has run perfectly, no problems whatsoever.

Hth.
