Fuel starvation

Hi It sounds like your fuel pipes are collapsing around the front of the engine, Merc of Gatwick replaced mine

Replace the seals on your fuel lines, available from Mercedes cost you around £10-£12 for a set.

Thanks
How easy would this be for a novice to do?
I always like to fix things myself but need to know the pitfalls (nothing ever goes smoothly)

Hardest part really is getting the plastic pipes off without damaging them, they go brittle over time, a small flat blade screwdriver is best for assisting the pipes to come out so the seal can be replaced.

We find it best to replace the pipes because of them becoming brittle.

Sorry to bring this one back but has anyone got the part numbers for the pipes? And the Orings
MB Aberdeen are a bunch of turkeys £275 plus VAT for a set???

I found the o rings can be easily changed and retain the plastic pipes. The fault will most likely be caused by the front two o rings on the low pressure pump, at the front right of the engine. These can be changed in 30min and will save your battery/starter until you can change them all. A set of o rings are only £12 off eBay.

Get them to pull up the image on the epc, you will see all the fuel lines and also the seals available seperatley.

There will be 6 in total.

Thanks I will try the Orings hopefully the clips will stay intact
As for asking MB Aberdeen to help out unless you are buying a 50k plus motor they won't help

Just speak to MB Inchcape parts; they will happily post the items for a small charge.

Thanks All
Ordered the o rings and they just came in
Now I am confused as the o rings came in two sizes the smaller ones are tiny do these go into the pump itself if so how can you do this in situ? Also looking at the pump I see what looks like white flat rubber washers on the left hand side of the pump Do I need these also ?
Sorry for the long post but I need the car for work and I don't want to get caught short

Al the fuel pipe seals are the same size, there green (if that helps) the white rubber you can see just sits between the pipe and pump and doesn't actual seal anything, I'd imagine it's just to keep heat off the plastic pipe.
