Hi all, new member from NW here - based in Morecambe. I enjoy reading the threads and find them a great source of knowledge for diy repairers.

I am hoping I might be able to get some help with an issue I am experiencing with Star C3 when I try to diagnose my old 2003 Mercedes Ml270. I can connect to car OK and run a short test and access most modules too.

However there are a few modules that won't connect, namely the AAM, EAM, Parktronic, AAC, Airbag and Command. I get the same "Error During Initializing" error pop up for all of them.

The car starts and drives fine but does have the odd gremlin hence why I was trying to access those modules.

I have tried the same software and multiplexer on a 2005 w203 where it connected fine to all modules.

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Is W163 using 38 pin round connector? If so, Ensure its plugged all way bottom, and all pins asre of in mux wire. Otherwisw I cannot help more, expect AAM is quite prone to fail...

Thanks for your reply. I am using the OBD port. From reading on this forum AAM faults do seem to be quite common on the W163. At first I wondered if the issue was with my C3 and clone multiplexer but suspect AAM may be issue. If I have any luck I will update.
