W164 air-con issue

Hi all,

I’m getting the following codes….

9006: A9 A/C Compressor Short Circuit
9209: B31 Smog Sensor sensor cable short circuit open to ground
9209: B32 Smog sensor sensor cable open circuit

I remember reading about a diode failing and being able to fit one in the wiring but I can’t find it now.

Is this a common fault? The air-con blows nice and cold but randomly will turn off.

It’s a pain as we have a couple of large dogs and like to have the air-con nice and cool for them when in the boot.
