Hi all. I've had the standard rear light water ingress issue in my ML420. The boot catch is releasing and the pump is running but it is not lifting the boot.

On closer inspection the pump assembly was soaked in water and the solenoid on the pump has lost it's pins to corrosion. I've cut back the plastic and cleaned up the base of the pins with a view to soldering a wire to each of them.

BUT, the solenoid is reading 1.9 ohms across the terminals. To me this is too low and equates to a very high current draw for what is a reasonably small coil. For this reason I am not connecting it up unless anyone can confirm the expected resistance.

Obviously I could buy a new solenoid but I'm not convinced the rest of it is ok, despite it sounding fine. The oil level is still correct.

I've struggled to find any information on this coil.
