So having a bit of a nightmare after having fitted a dash cam

Dashcam fitted and was showing charging.

Moved the car and no problems. But noticed the Dashcam wasn't charging

Following day changed the fuse that the Dashcam was powered from

Went to start the car and got an SRS warning.

Took the Dashcam hardwire off.

However now the srs warning is still there.

Key won't turn in the ignition lock and the front two doors won't lock.

Gave up for Xmas but want to have a look tomorrow.

Any suggestions of where I should start.

My initial assumption was fuses but none appear to have gone

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Here's a full fuse assignment breakdown, which unlike the brief consumer guide you find in battery compartment, actually shows whether the fuse is permanently powered (terminal 30), or ignition only (15 or 15R), etc, etc.

If the key wouldn't turn, how are you getting an SRS warning?

It seems as if your key isn't being recognised by the key reader, do you have a second key that you can try?
I had a similar problem with one of the keys on my old W169 one was only recognised every now & again.

If you've connected the dash cam to the fuse box by the battery then you most likely pushed the drivers seat back
to it's fullest rear ward travel, check that the wired socket under the seat is still connected to the loom. Try to push the sockets together
& ensure there's a circuit

Cheers for that. Giving it a go shortly.

Sure it wasn't the fuses - wouldn't have thought about the seat!

So many thanks for all the help and advice all!

So dash cam installed. Working. Laminated detailed fuse diagram in place.

SRS light has gone off.
Dashcam working
All keys working.

Followed the advice here. Battery out. On a recondition cycle overnight.

Back in. Lots of gremlins purged.
Again thanks all.
