W176 manual gearbox oil change

Hello fellow MB fans,

I have an a class w176 (176.042) with a manual gearbox, first registration 2013, current mileage is around 80k miles. I can't find information on whether the manual gearbox oil should be changed and how often? I don't think it has ever been changed so wanted to ask if you have any experience?

It will not be a service item. The manual gearbox oil has, believe it or not, a very easy life so I'd not be concerned unless hou think the gearbox has altered. Might be worth just checking the level. If you go to one if the oil company sites, eg Motul, Shell, etc, and type in your reg number it should give a list of fluids including gearbox oil.

Hi everyone I have an E class 15 plate auto. My car has been running fine until yesterday, the car kept over revving and not changing gears. Can anyone kindly advise? I’m worried to drive it to a garage, in case it goes into complete limp mode. Is there any mobile mechanics who have a star machine to diagnose what’s wrong with it in Coventry? Thank you in advance. Any help advise?
