W202 alarm going off still after new siren

Hi w202 1998 c43 IR key

Fitted new siren , after 30 seconds alarm goes off can lock the car as key wont turn drivers door

I have the two v shaped detectors on both inner pillars
Any ideas on what it might be

A battery on its way out can cause all sorts of problems. My old W202 suffered from an intermittent cruise control and the alarm sounding when it felt like it until I changed the battery, then all was fine.

How many times do the hazards flash when you lock the car...2 times or 3 times?
Is the siren new or used?

Ill check tomorrow on how many times it flashes


I found both internal alarm motion sensors had be unplugged they Are now connected the alarm still goes off but now takes 60 seconds not 30

Why would some one do that I don't know

It flashes 3 times to close once to lock


I had it on star today

If the hazards flash 2 times when locking means a door is not closed properly or a faulty door switch, that’s why I asked.

Alarm triggers;
4 door switches.
Bonnet micro switch inside bonnet lock… see HERE
Boot light switch.
Anti- towing sensor beside jack in boot… can be switched off at dash switch.
Internal motion sensors… can be switched off at dash switch.
Bad car battery, not holding charge.
Faulty siren.

Thank you I had it on star it looks like the towing sensor is faulty

I switched off via star alarm now working ill replace In weeks to come
