Hi, 1996 C250 diesel estate. (Flip out keyfob, no extra fob)
There is a chirping/ticking sound coming from the alarm unit under the bonnet (like a budgie stuck on a record player
, it sounds like the car is trying to set the alarm off but not managing - or some sort of deterrant (which I don't think it is)
The problem is that this is flattening the battery (sometimes overnight) but it doesn't do it all the time, sometimes it does it when the alarm is armed & sometimes even when the alarm isn't set.
Everything seems to be working as it should - central locking etc,
any ideas anyone?
