Dear Team

I noticed that my head rests are not dropping, is there a vacuum line diagram for my car, I have the Haynes service and repair manual ,but nothing about the vacuum lines

I can test the continuity from the front switch to the electrical part of the vacuum valve (2028000578), the white small hose/line from the valve comes to the front of the car, under the bonnet into the vacuum clustering connector. i can check if there is any air coming out of the cluster port connected to this white line.

any thoughts on this?

leaking vacuum clustering connector, may be?

both head rest solenoids faulty?

what vacuum pressure is generated by the pump in all the lines?,

I really need a vacuum diagram for the car in sections which shows where various coloured line are going to etc....

photos of the haynes manual and the vacuum clustering connector ( the purple line is now pushed in), is below

the large white line in the photo, far right , when pulled out has flow coming out, but not sure if all the lines are correctly connected in the vacuum clustering connector ?

the central locking works fine, no issues, but to open the boot i need to insert key, turn and push, does not open if you just push the key part, will open the trim under the boot and see the what's happening, there, any thoughts ??

thank you

Okay, all. I found a lose yellow vacuum hose that was not connected to the boot lock.
i connected this back up and now my back head rest drops with i press the switch on the front console.

but,

there was a small issue with the boot, before:

as this is a 1994/5 w202, i did not have boot release switch on the console, so had to use the key and turn to the left and push, then boot would open
the boot did not open if I pushed the lock in, don't know why

now with the vacuum line connected back up to the boot lock,
ever time I switch the ignition off and removed key the boot just opens by itself , why is this?

okay team, i have now nailed the issue, the boot lock is from a newer w202 and the wires are also not connected as the existing connector has 3 wires and the connector with the new lock has 2, sol all i have done now, is left he yellow vac hose disconnected and blocked, so my headrests drop.

if and and when i get round to changing the boot lock, i can then connect back up

Dear Team

Please can you help with my issue below:

there acceleration is sulggish, i have to press the foot pedal some 5cm to get revs up, and car then starts to move fwd,, same thing on the reverse.

near the throttle bodies, there are 3 hoses, when you stand and look down, the left ones is missing, centre is white and the right one is black, could the missing hose be an issue?

the photo below shows some that i should have the left one connected also, is this missing in my car or fallen off, or not required?

thank you
