W202 Cruise Control

Hi all,

I had the car serviced on Saturday from my regular indie (Full Service) and this morning on my way to work I noticed that the cruise control doesn't want to know. It doesn't activate! Do you think it is just gone? Or maybe they have disconnected something by mistake and left it like that?

Any ideas welcome! I love my cruise control!

do you know if they touched the brakes at all ?

They did. They changed the brake pads as part of the service.

I seem to recall the cruise working off the wheel rotation sensor to do with the ABS.

I know fitting different sized wheels can affect the cruise making it not work with the symptoms you describe. Could be to do with them tinkering with the brakes.

I'll bet it's as simple as they disconnected the ABS sensor wire when they changed the brake pads.
