What on earth? and WHY?!

* I was stationary at traffic lights when it was taken....

Rear ended and a numpty in the body shop ordered the wrong boot badge! Maybe?

I've seen a few 203s and 202s with CLK badging recently. It's rather an irritating trend. Another thing that I've seen a few times lately is a C-class diesel with a Kompressor badge on the boot! Why would someone take a debadged car and put a Kompressor badge onto it?

If they are "bigging it up" as a CLK you'd have thought they would have chosen a decent engine rather than a 200 ??

A client's C230 estate came back from bodyshop badged CLK230...

can the bodyshop's really be that unprofessional?
isnt their job to restore the body to its original state, unless an upgaded look is required, i.e. body kits (barry boys), or OEM kits (normal, classy...)

diesel kompressor? nice!

@moonloops, they probably didnt want to go OTT!!!

We've seen this before and I'm sure someone said it's the same badge, but they're supposed to discard the L & K.

Have seen this enough times myself.

It's 'one-badge-fits-all' latest Merecedes fashion. One has to buy the whole thing and use letters relevant to one's vehicle. Had to order ML550 for my ML55 as original badge is now discontinued. Stupid shop probably just slapped the badge on whereas the owner can't justify the expense of buying a new badge or simply can't be bothered.
