Hello all,

I have a 2006 C220 CDI (similar to this: http://images.motoring.co.uk/images...-auto-87b32b1446792633b2628eae7dee0f8c-m2.jpg) and need to replace the passenger mirror. The motor still works but it would appear its been snapped back so the physical connections are broken, meaning its loose and not connected to the motor.

I have found this one on eBay which seems to match my requirements; http://images.motoring.co.uk/images...-auto-87b32b1446792633b2628eae7dee0f8c-m2.jpg

My questions are;

- Is my car a W203 or CL203 or is there no difference?
- Will this mirror fit?
- Has anybody completed this removal/install before?

As always thank you so much for your help.

Kind regards,
James

Hi James,

If you're sure that it's just the cable that has been broken, then you can get a replacement loom from Mercedes. Get the part number from your damaged mirror and they'll make sure the pin out is exactly what you need. I ordered such a loom, then bought the mirror with the memory package, which I don't have in my car, and was told that the pin out is different. It cost me £40. There are many differences from the different series of W203 on the basis of year and specs.

I can't tell what type of cable you might need from the pictures in your link. If you replace the loom cable, you'll need to get inside your door card. I followed the instruction of this guy, BENZWERKS C-CLASS FRONT DOOR PANEL REMOVAL - YouTube - but you don't need to detached the tweeter cable, just let it hang. Mine broke off as it was stuck...

Good luck,

Danny
