Anyone else noticed that after 30 or 40 minutes playing music through bluetooth, the sound begins to stutter a bit? At first I thought it was my lack of signal and 4g, but noticed when turn command off and on again, it works just fine as normal. This is pretty consistent, I drive 2 hours one way to work and had to turn command off and on about 3 times. Not the hugest issues because it can easily be fixed, but I did just wonder if it was just me or if anyone else may know a fix in case it is a simple one.

I could not find another post about it but apologies perhaps did not search using the best words.

I've never had anyone complain of that before to comand online. But it could just be a firmware issue and a firmware update may help it (or not !!) - but that's what I'd have done first - bit of a journey to us, so maybe ask your local MB dealer ?

Thank you, I was thinking the same, I can ask MB when I take it for the airbag recall, appreciate the thoughts.

Try playback from a different phone if you have one. Might also be some incompatibility with your current device. It's been a few years since I last had Bluetooth issues with the car, but The last time, I was using the original Google Pixel (2017) and online articles suggested I wasn't alone. I hear there was a big rewrite of the Bluetooth subsystem and it took a few updates for them to iron out the kinks. All this to say, if you're using an Android device with an OS that was last released or updated in 2017, trying out a different phone might be a good quick test you can perform.

It seems silly for it to work fine though until after 40 minutes or so. I have android Samsung s10e, keep it regularly updated.

if you're a software developer it doesn't seem so silly, because it could be that the bluetooth stack has a defect that causes it to leak memory at a slow and steady pace and it takes about 40 minutes of streaming bluetooth audio in a certain profile (which might be the preferred profile of your current phone) before it overruns the buffers and causes observable impact.
If you have a look at the average software end user license, they make it very clear that you can't hold them accountable if the software doesn't work -- it's not because software engineers want to sell snake oil, it's because there are so many moving pieces and variables that the best they can say is that "it performs adequately with the permutations of our product and certain third-party players that we tested".

Here is a quote from the Microsoft office 2021 license:
Disclaimer. Neither Microsoft, nor the device manufacturer or installer, gives any other express warranties, guarantees, or conditions. Microsoft and the device manufacturer and installer exclude all implied warranties and conditions, including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. If your local law does not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, then any implied warranties, guarantees, or conditions last only during the term of the limited warranty and are limited as much as your local law allows. If your local law requires a longer limited warranty term, despite this agreement, then that longer term will apply, but you can recover only the remedies this agreement allows.

Good luck in your test.

I get you. I work in video games I understand the volatility of software. I was complaining :P
