W204 - Heated Seat Issue (Back works but not base?)

Hi Folks,

As mentioned in the title, i've just picked up a used W204 C200 CDI which is 2012. However I have noticed on the drivers side, the back heats up but the bottom part of the seat doesn't.

Anyone got any suggestions on what to try to fix this issue?

The seat element pad will be broken and it needs to be replaced.

They are quite prone to damage, especially if you kneel on the seat base.

You can replace the element with a cheap carbon fibre one from eBay (about £15 for a pair). You need to remove and dismantle the seat base to fit it.

On mine you can set the heating to either the back, seat or a combination of both. Maybe yours is the same?
