W204 C220 Sport
Hi all,

New member here, just picked up my W204 C220CDI Sport yesterday.

I'm loving the car so far, having moved from an E60 BMW it is a very different driving experience. Also my first MB!

My only niggle with the car are the seats. I know it's been covered a lot before but the BMW had the thigh support extensions which I became too accustomed to and now driving the Benz I'm struggling to get comfortable in it.

I'm a big lad and there is too much of a gap between the back of my knees and the seat. It only covers 3/4 of my thigh and this is proving to be uncomfortable on long journeys..

Does anyone have any solutions to this? Ideally, cost-effective ones.

I would love to have something like the BMW seat to make the seat--bottom a bit longer as it's too short right now.

Alternatively, I have heard about people putting spacers under the seat to tilt it slightly. Not sure if this will fix the problem as the seat bottom is still a little too short for me.

Any suggestions?

I miss those also from my 330ci, they really do make a difference. In the MB you feel as though you're going to fall from the seat!

I just had to get used to it, not sure if any other MB models came with that end extension but it's just something I got on without

I have the same problem.

I've found having the roller on the right which tilts the seat at it's most tilted setting helps, as it tips your weight back into the seat. Also having the lumbar support all the way out gives you a bit of extra seat to sit back into.

Exactly how mine is set up, only thing that comes close :thumb:
