Hi all. My 2012 w207 has the warning regard the seat occupancy. It's the airbag message that says consult workshop. So I tried an emulator and tried all ways with the switches inside but I couldn't get it to clear. So today I bought an icarsoft and tried to clear it . It would not clear with the emulator so plugged it back in a normal. Then it cleared and came back. Is there any way of fixing this without buying a new seat pad. ? Many thanks

Why not fix it properly with a new seat pad?
.
If you post your Vin# I can check the Part number and price for you.

Hi

Would you be able to get me a price if I send you my VIN? Fitted an emulator but it’s no longer does the seatbelt handover. Which is really upsetting me 🥹 Tia

I have no connection to MB or their current prices I'm afraid.
I can show you a link with Part # but no idea how current the price shown is.

Why not just call you nearest dealer and get the part?

Thanks for your reply. I did call my dealer but just checked you yourself in case you could get it cheaper. Would you have the part number?

I can't get Parts cheaper. I'm just another motorist like you.

Post your Vin# and I can take a look.
Passenger seat pad sensor was it?

Sorry I thought from your post you sold parts. Sorry for the confusion. Yeah it’s sensor pad WDD2073032F239840

No problem.

The passenger side and drivers seat pad are both Part# A207 870 00 79

Link for you to double check.
My mechanic is quoting around £300 Inc the part to do the job. Do you think that sounds about right? He said it’s how long the new one will last is the issue as they are a bad design?

I have no idea on his hourly rate, but if you allow for £100+ for the seat pad I don't think his charge is too bad.
There is a lot to strip out to get to that seat pad and replace it.
I couldn't comment on the design of them but in all my years of MB ownership I've never had a seat pad fail.
