Now the weather has warmed up I've noticed the air coming out of the vents isn't very cold. I guess the gas needs refilling, how long does this take?

I have my E55 booked in to Reader Air Con in Woking, not a million miles from you. They are a specialist air-con company as opposed to your Kwik-fit type set up. Am going there on the 5th with the same problem as you. If you want, you can wait and see how I get on. They charge £45 ish for the diagnosis, deductible from what needs doing. Regards, Jeff.

Could be handy being so close. Alternatively I was thinking of seeing if I could get it done at PCS. It's not desperate at the moment but I really need it done by June.

OK. Had the Aircon done today at Reader Aircon (see above). Aircon gassed with dye, whole system visually inspected and checked with a "sniffer" for leaks, recharged and works great. I would recommend this place as there's not much point just having it regassed if you've got a leak or some other problem. Regards, Jeff.

We can do it. It takes 40 mins and we can do it while you wait.

olly!

sorted out the cluster problem mate... reckon you can do the atf as well when i see you on the 10th?

super! thanks Olly

Sorry Frankie, didnt mean to hi-jack your thread...

my wife's w210 air-con didn't seem to be doing much at full blast (tried it yesterday while sanitising it and then changing filters) hence was wondering how much the dye test et al cost...

i'm taking her car to Olly at PCS in a few days for a once over as we've just bought it and depending on what he finds, will have to prioritise repairs...
besides, the Mrs can do without the air-con for a bit if necessary :D

I also have a list of repairs from Olly, although I really do need to get the aircon done as a priority. If it's anything more than a re gas I may cry. Work is finally calming down so I will have to try get down there.

Olly gassed her up and she's blowing ice cold now, thanks.
