W210 E320 CDi

Sadly this morning the trusty 210 decided to be a tad poorly.

At standstill in drive with the foot on the brake, the revs are going up and down (900 -> 600 ish) causing a judder and under light load you can feel this (slow acceleration up to about 30 ish).

Also, when driving it home to swap the car, I stalled when coming to an abrupt stop to let a car stop.

Any ideas what this could be? There are no error messages, so not sure if my star machine will pick anything up!

There are plenty of faults that STAR will pick up which don't cause dash error messages. Since you have it, scan it and post what the codes are

Under CDI 2 check 'engine smooth running', it will show injected quantity and if the injectors are within tolerance.

Cheers for the info bob, see photo for results. From what I can tell, all looks good?

Maybe the problem could be due to dirty injectors maybe? I do a lot of stop start rush hour traffic, could this cause problems for this engine?

Also, the battery was low this morning, could this cause similar effects?

Injectors are within tolerance

Were there any codes? Not sure a low battery would cause this

Only the steering angle sensor which I know about, nothing out the ordinary. Im going to get some injector cleaner and take it out on a long spirted run and hope its cleans out some potential dirt in the injectors
