W210 estate, quartz blue

I have a 2000 E class avantgarde estate in quartz blue (w208 clk colour). Never seen one in this colour before and its not listed in the colour options for that year. Is it a designo option? Its a nicely specced low mileage car but nothing else , interior, etc would point to it being a designo car.

Ive seen one in this colour. Its very very rare as you have found.

Thanks that would be great, i have spoken to the sales manager at my local Mercedes dealership who is a friend of mine and again he said it was never a paint option for the w210 although I have seen an E55 advertised in the same colour.

Don't think it was quartz blue, tealite blue I think but I've been wrong before, this thread needs photos.

I'm still trying to get a definitive answer on the colour of my 1999 W210 - the colour code is 023 which another member has told me is Designo Slate Blue Metallic?

It's pearlescent and when the light hits it right you can see undertones of purple - you can just about see this above the rear wheel arch, then changing to blue above it towards the C-pillar.

I believe it's a rare colour, particularly in an E55 but the V5C lists it as "silver" for some reason!
