Hello Everyone,

I have just bought a 2001 E320 CDi Estate. Avantgarde, Silver, 90k miles, heated black leather, front and rear parktronic, seven seats, lovely car.

I have the service book with the last stamp at 79k (independent), but no receipts. The dash display reads 3700 miles to next service, ie around 15k miles between services. Does this seem reasonable?

Also, as it is an estate, does it have self-levelling rear suspension as standard with the reservoir in the front being for power steering fluid as well.

Thanks in anticipation.:)

Hi and welcome.

I have a W210 320CDI and yes 15K between services does seem reasonable.

Welcome

Likewise 15k seems normal. I was always a 'change oil on a diesel every 5k miles' kind of bloke, but am reassured that with a 7/8l oil capacity on a 320 CDI, it can run comfortably out to higher mileages between changes. If that's wrong someone please shout!

Good luck with the car. I love mine...

Thanks for the replies. I will just leave the servicing until the recommended interval this time. I will probably do an interim oil change myself at the half way point next time.

I have used the Russian MB Club web site to decode my options and i do have self levelling suspension.
