2002 W210 320Cdi owned from new - 200,000 miles.

I have a problem where the engine randomly gets a short burst of extra fuel when the throttle is almost at the minimum position. Originally this occurred when lifting off at about 60mph - now it happens at lower speeds as well. Turning the ESP off makes the problem go away. I’ve looked through the fault log with my mechanic and cannot find anything. This problem started about 18 months ago. The evidence points to a speed sensor but we don’t know which one.

Having the car diagnosed using Star at a Mercedes specialist would pinpoint which wheel sensor is faulty.

Ollie down the A3 in Horndean at PCS would be a good choice.
