Ive had my 220 for over 2 years now, and its been faultless. Its now almost 5 years old and has done 95k.
Yesterday, on a 15 mile journey, I pull onto the motorway after a mile or so, put my foot down and nothing. Well, pedestrian acceleration at best. I crawl up to about 70, exit at my junction and when at the lights, shift the auto box to neutral and rev it, it wont go past 3,000. This carries on for the rest of the journey. Also gear changes seem very early, presume this is to stop revving as Im guessing its gone into limp mode?
At the end of the journey, I switch off, lock then later unlock, start and all is well again. Return journey no problems. runs fine, power back. Apart from, and I may be being paranoid here, but when I rev in gear, it sounds like more air is trying to come through the air vents and its louder, hadnt noticed this before. As I said could be paranoid but I can definitely hear an air rush. All else seems fine again now.
Any ideas please, Im in a state of shock!
