W211 ball joint removal kit?

I need to replace ball joints on my wifes E320. I've seen kits on eBay just for the Mercedes but don't really want spend £30 for kit that's only good on her car. Did anyone tried those universal ones? Will kit like this be OK?

Personally I just replace the entire part rather than try to press out a ball joint and press a new one in. - That way not only do I have new ball joint, but I've got new bushes on my wishbone (for example).

It might even prove more cost effective.

most likely the hub ball joints , good luck using that kit, alot of horror stories and some successful ones getting the ball joint out.

So if this one is not good which one than is worth buying ?

try that one , its the seizing in of the balljoints thats the issue.

or this merc specific type , might be a bit more chunky ??

Never had a problem with them, they can be used on other cars ie Renault lower B/joints & many more , well worth a paltry £30.

Do you think that the bigger set with 21 pieces will be OK as well? I just think spend £35 for this set for Mercedes maybe better spend £55 and get the universal one?

I just bought a £30 kit & when needed just made a few sleeve's ...you can get to most lower ball joints with a bit of tinkering & Top joints in upper arms as well.
