w211 bi-xenon retrofit

Hi all

I've bought some bi-xenons for my w211 classic. I've been told this one can simply replace existing units for the bi-xenon ones and everything will work! Is this true?

I know on BMW's you have to get the dealer to flash the ECU, is this the case with the W211 too?

I'm not sure if it's strictly a requirement but I understand the bulb failure warning will be tripped if the computer isn't told that HID lamps are in use.
