Hi guys maybe a silly question but how would I go about finding whether my gearbox has the latest software? Is it a star session or can you check via obd reader and say torque app? Thanks
On some diagnostics the version of the software is shown so presumably you could ask the MB dealer or one of the Indies on here what the latest version is and compare
There are some cheap OBD readers out there that will talk to the gearbox ECU but I don't know if they show software version and can't check for you as my car is a manual
Might I ask why you're asking Big G? Is it just not as smooth as you'd like? I suspect that this is just 'normal' for the 7g, however it would be great if it could be improved with software, but I doubt it.

My mates bro has just bought a e350 cdi 2012 model and is leaving it in for a gearbox service with local indie, and they say they will upgrade the software whilst on Star, I was just curious to see if there is a way of finding out if my gearbox software was the latest upgrade.
