w211 front crash sensor???

Hi Guys,

further to my other post regarding WIS and EPC, i have just wasted the last 3 hours on WIS and EPC trying to locate the position of the front crash sensor which has shown up as a fault, dealer has told me there are 2 types and i need to see which one i have in my car.........problem is i cant find it on the chassis leg where it's supposed to be.

Please put me out of my misery and let me know where it is w211 2007 estate.

Hello boblydon,

They are not directly affixed on to the chassis legs themselves, they are secured to mounting brackets which are attached to the chassis legs on the n/side and o/side front. The part numbers will be on the components themselves. See the attached photos below for their exact locations, hope this helps.
